I realize that I haven't updated the blog much this month, and that's because I have been so busy with various residual income opportunities (plus, my mother-in-law has been visiting). So, as it is now the first of April, I thought I would provide an update on my residual income earnings.
I was astounded at the progress I made on my eHow account. I ended this month with a total of $62.36. This is six times what I made last month! I used the techniques outlined on this blog for finding profitable keywords, and this alone has increased my earnings. I did NO promotion on my articles aside from posting 1 Xomblurb for each article I wrote. I did NO social bookmarking of any other kind, no reading-rating-commenting exchanges (which are a waste of time), or anything else.
I have not been adding to Bukisa as regularly as I originally planned - simply because I want to focus on eHow, where the earnings potential is so much greater. I have 29 articles on Bukisa, and made a total of $20.02 this month, including a meager amount of earnings from referrals.
In April, I plan to try and update the blog at least once per week with a new freelance writing opportunity, and at least one post or tutorial for residual income. So, stay with me, folks! I will be back with new freelance writer jobs, opportunities, tips and tutorials for April. :)

Wow, sounds like you've come a long way! I cannot wait to get my eHow earnings up that high, and hopefully higher :) !! Great job!
Glad to see your earnings up SO much! I really need to post some articles on eHow but I've been focusing on upfront payment with DS. This may just be the kick in the seat that I need.
Thanks for sharing!
Congratulations on your success with eHow! Keep up the good work!
Thanks guys! I'm aiming for at least $80 next month.
@Jessica - I also focus on upfront for DS to pay the bills. But, I just try to do one ehow article per weekday, after I finish my DS articles, and this is how far I've come in two months. If you do the same, you'll be there too. Good luck!
Question--I should probably look this up myself but I'm being lazy, LOL--but what's the difference between the DS residual income articles and writing for Ehow under a different account? Anything? Or is freedom of topic choice the main reason to go with Ehow?
Just wanted to say congrats to you. I am giving myself a 100 articles in 100 days challenge (borrowed the idea from a tweet I received) for Suite101 and I may do the same for e-how, too. When you think, that's just 2 articles per day to build passive income...it doesn't seem so bad. Hope to see you making even more!
Oh and I meant just two articles per day for each site (suite101 and ehow). LOL Obviously 100 articles in 100 days means I'd just have to do one per day. You know what I meant. I'm going on 4 hours sleep and rambling a little. ;-)
Congrats on doing so well on eHow! I am just starting to write actively on that site and hope I can build up my earnings as much as you have :) I do have a question for you - do you have any article "duds" that earn pageviews but no income, and is there anything you can do to change a non-earning article to an earning one? Good Luck on meeting your goal this month, I know you can do it!
Wow! Congrats on your eHow earnings! I too saw a jump in eHow earning, but not as big of one as you did!

Am I Really a Writer?
@Jenny - The difference is that with DS residuals, DS also gets a cut of your money. They also choose the titles, which they claim are better than user generated. However, this is only a valid point if you don't know how to do keyword research. If you are doing proper research, you'll definitely make more money on your own eHow account.
@Lazy Housewife - Lol. I've been doing one article per day and it's worked out well for me. Good luck to you. :)
@Faith - Yes, I have a few duds. My increasing libido article has had over 1,000 views and hasn't made a cent. I can't really say why. I took my affiliate links off (which were getting tons of clicks), and still nothing. :) The best thing to do is make sure your ads are lining up. Sometimes there's nothing you can do to increase earnings. It could just be the type of people searching for that particular information aren't inclined to click on ads - who knows? I'm doing a blog post soon on ad alignment that should help increase earnings.
@Emily - Thanks! Every month, it gets better and better. :)
Residual is always fun, especially if you can tailor your Ehow articles to get the best-fitting and most relevent Google AD's to optimize your earnings. =)
